You would think that as a Canadian I would have found a way to beat the February blahs by now.

You know what I mean:  those heavy feelings of sluggishness that hover over us like a dark cloud during the month of February.

The days are short; the nights are frigid. People have neither the energy nor the inclination to socialize because they have to leave the cozy confines of their home.

It’s not the most wonderful time of the year.

In an effort to boost my spirits, I’ve decided to do something that I love.

This month, I will be offering  7  free online writing workshops for English-language learners on Tuesday and Thursday evenings for the entire month.

I hope you’ll join me!

Students always tell me that they have trouble writing English.

It makes them feel down, and they feel like no one is going to pull them through.

Well, we learn by doing.

We learn by writing and writing and re-writing and re-writing.

We learn by taking risks, making mistakes, breaking rules and most of all – having fun!

So, here’s your chance.

If you want to get better – reach for it!

Invite a friend to the online workshop who is also struggling with his or her writing, and you’ll both get a free factsheet entitled “Canadianisms & What They Mean“.  It’s my way of saying  “thanks”, “grazie”, “gracias”, “merci”, ”xiexie”, “shukraan”, “dyakuyu” and “danke”.

Online classes will be kept fairly small so that everyone can share their ideas and ask questions.

Spaces are available on a first come, first served basis.

I’m looking forward to seeing you online!
